I need feminism because people, even other women, seem to have an issue with women being in control of their own bodies and making choices about what they want to do with their body.
I need feminism because when I see things like this on my facebook feed/twitter timeline/tumblr dash…I seriously consider running straight to bathroom and shaving all of my body hair off, despite the fact that I love having hairy legs…I hate knowing that the rest of the world doesn’t like it and judge me (sometimes without even knowing it) for making a personal decision about MY body.
-Only 2% -17% of the artwork represented in galleries and museums today is created by women, yet many art schools indicate that more than 50% of their students are women.
-As of 2011, Only 8 percent of the work that the Museum of Modern Art exhibits is by women.

I can relate to this feeling. I have some that I used to know. People that I felt close to. I loved them.
I never erased all photos and thoughts. They are still part of my past. There when we where together.

Det är en av vårens första dagar. Snart ska jag och Anthony möta upp Elin Hedman som är festivalgeneral för Knarrholmsfestivalen. Det kommer bjudas på veganska tofufyllda pannkakor. Mätta människor slappnar lättare av tänker jag. Vi går ut genom dörren och ner mot Järntorget där vi bestämt träff. Jag är lite nervös inför den stundade intervjun men det känns som det kommer bli bra.
Är ute i god tid och ser nån som närmar sig, - Hej är det du som är Elin? Det är jag som är Mandy. Trevligt att träffas. Där borta står Anthony, kan hen ta några bilder på dig? Anthony tar några bilder och vi lämnar torget bakom oss. Snart slår vi oss ner i mitt kök och jag försöker verka proffsigare än jag är. Sätter på mig hörlurarna och ställer in ljudet och så rec.
I was so grey and all my hope was gone. I just sat down and thought about everything. I don’t want to argue more. I just want to be happy.
Let’s skip all the bullshit and just be happy. I need more sleep. I need love but not to any given price.
It’s Sunday and I’ve had a fine week. Nice to have some time of. I like school breaks. Everything starts to fall into line. I got some great news on Thursday. I called my friends and we went out to celebrate.
It’s been an ever going party since, ha-ha. Last night we made three plates vegan pizza, filled a room with balloons and listening to good music. It feels like I can do anything and I like it. Let’s conquer the world!
Winter and strawberry’s don’t mix if you want to be environment friendly but I needed some anyway. I made smoked tofu sandwiches with tomato and a bowl of strawberry’s, almond and soymilk. What a delight breakfast. Then I put on all layers of winter clothings and went out in the cold morning.
I meet up with my class at the film festival. We saw two movies in a row. How I have missed my class. I’m glad I’ve got more energy now. I hope it stays with me. All I ask for is a plain everyday life. If I just get that I will be satisfied. So many people take it for granted. It have been a struggle since I was a kid. I want something meaningful to do and somewhere to live. But I think it’s getting better and I’m happier now than some weeks ago. I think it will be fine. I’m a optimist so of course the hard times will get easy. I’m working towards a solution.
